How to apply for an Entry Approval
Malaysian citizens are allowed to enter Malaysia without an Entry Approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
Foreign citizens are not permitted to enter Malaysia during the remaining RMCO period. Only certain categories of foreign citizens are allowed to enter with an Entry Approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

Malaysia is gradually reopening its borders to facilitate business and official trips with strict health protocols and border entry requirements in place. Business travellers who enter and stay in the country for a period of 14 days or less, from the date of arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) up to its departure date, are eligible to apply for the Entry Permission of a short-term business traveller.
Please note that Business Travellers are exempted from the 14 day quarantine.
Entry Approval through MIDA
All Entry Approvals for business travellers have to be done through MIDA by clicking the button below.
Fully vaccinated travellers now have the option to quarantine from the comfort of their homes when they arrive in Malaysia. However, travelers will have to apply first with the Ministry of Health.

The Netherlands has been added to the list of countries where a variant of of the SARS-CoV-2 has been detected. Therefore, all travellers from The Netherlands who arrive in Malaysia will have to quarantine for 14 days at a Government Selected Quarantine Center If your application for Home Quarantine has been rejected.
Please make sure to complete the following prior to your departure.
- To undertake a PCR test (with a negative result) 3 days prior to your departure date;
- To install mySejahtera application and complete the health declaration form within the application;
- To pay all the charges imposed by the Government including COVID-19 test, quarantine and hospital charges via https://safetravel.myeg.com.my/ (if applicable)
- Transit passengers are exempted from the 14 day quarantine
