PASSPORT RENEWAL

Passport renewals and new passport applications are available to the public from 09:30 to 12:30, Monday to Thursday, except on Malaysian and Dutch public holidays. Renewals are by appointment only.

Malaysians holding a residence permit issued outside the Netherlands are advised to renew their passports in the country where the residence permit was issued. If you still wish to renew your passport at this Embassy, you must provide an official translation of your residence permit, certified by the Immigration Department in the country of issuance.

Malaysian passports are issued by the Immigration Department at the High Commission of Malaysia in London and sent to this Embassy via registered mail. Processing for a new passport typically takes 8–10 weeks, excluding customs clearance, which may add an additional 3–4 weeks. You are strongly advised to apply well in advance of your planned travel to ensure your new passport is ready on time.
