Emergency Certificate

The E.C. (Emergency Certificate) is issued to Malaysian Citizens who have lost their passports while abroad or to Malaysians that are being repatriated. The E.C. is valid for 9 months and can only be used to travel to back Malaysia. The applications can be done on the same day.

You will need the following to apply for your Emergency Certificate:

  • Photocopy of the lost/stolen passport
  • Malaysia IC
  • Birth certificate
  • Ticket to Malaysia
  • Police report of the lost/stolen passport 
  • 2 passport size pictures
  • Application fee (cash only)
